IF YOU WERE MY MAN

My physical attraction works like this:

1. Oh, who is that? Damn, he's fiiine!
2. *looks down* LOVING his footwear
3. *looks up* cute outfit

I'm a shoe person, not to be confused with a clothes person (I love clothes but the feeling isn't the same) or an accessories queen. For me shoes are part of the holy trinity of getting ready: hair: check!
outfit: check! shoes: check! Let's hit the goddamn road! What can I say, a mean shoe game makes me swoon. Here's an abbreviated collection that would make me bat my eyelashes and laugh at all your jokes:

GIVE EM' THE BOOT

I know it's hot as balls outside and the last thing you're thinking about is wearing boots but bare with me. While contemplating restoring my OkCupid profile (I did), I found myself on the Acne website and of course I went straight to the shoes because goddamnit shoes are super important. Any who, their boots are quite dope. A bit pricey, well ok, super fucking pricey especially for a young gal who can only afford to pay her rent and cop some drinks on the weekends; I did some virtual window shopping. Here are my out of reach picks from Acne's boot selection:

$610

$720

$550

$560

I GOT LOVE FOR YOU SOLANGE

                                                                                      source: necole bitchie

There aren't many things I wouldn't do to get a solid five minutes of shopping time in Solange's closet. Seriously, I'd lay in a glass coffin of snakes, Fear Factor style, just to see what sartorial treasures this woman posses. I never could have imagined Bey's little sister, who was rocking wavy braids and a beanie on the cover of her debut album Solo Star as a teen, would evolve into this fashion goddess. Adore doesn't quite speak to how I feel about Solange's style; it's everything. It's edgy, experimental, youthful, colorful and very much personal. As usual, Solange didn't disappoint this weekend at the Sixth Annual Roots Picnic. The way she mixes prints is perfection. Take note.

And for your listening pleasure I bring to you Solange and Oliver Sims performing a cover of one of my favorite songs in the universe: Nicole Wray's Make it Hot
