Money Does Buy Happiness

Coach boots

Alright, money doesn't buy happiness per se but it did get me an awesome pair of boots. I've had these tucked away since I bought them a few months ago but I finally decided to wear them. These were a splurge well worth the price. They make me so happy : )

Thanks everyone for sticking with me; my hiatus was a little longer than planned. Life kind of came at me at full speed and presented me with changes that I was and wasn't ready for. I'm back on track now.

p.s. I'm hoping to feature an old friend on the blog; I think you'll dig his style and yes that is a real stop sign. Long story short, my mom is super cool for helping me get this. Does that make me a criminal?

Addiction & Then Some

I love sunglasses, between street vendors and my favorite stores (H&M, UO, Fred Flare, etc) I've amassed a few. They can easily provide a finishing touch to a look; I think that's why I have so many. Along with my sunnies I thought I would share my jewelry with you all. Some of the stuff I've made my self while working at an after school program like the beaded bracelets and the tooth pendant necklaces that are capsules given to the kids when they lost a tooth. Some of my new additions include a gold cuff and matching necklace and earrings that I got from an African store in Harlem.

Canary

Yesterday I received this beautiful canary princess cut ring in the mail from LuShae Jewelry. I had the hardest time picking out what I wanted because all the jewelry is so pretty and unique. After wrestling over what type of jewelry to get, then what ring I wanted I'm super happy with my choice. The girly girl in me always wanted a pretty pretty princess ring like this and I'm delighted that Sarah at LuShae Jewelry gave me the opportunity to fulfill that desire.

Yes, you heard right; I'm stoked! No, I haven't morphed into a blonde haired surfer boy; I purchased the Alexa wedges by Jeffrey Campbell for LF (the ones on the left)! Yay! I can't wait until they get here. yay! haha You can buy them here. When the boots on the right are for sale we'll see if I'll be able to contain myself.

Second Chances

I used to frequent a few stores as a kid that I don't anymore because I remember the quality not being all there. Recently I've decided to give second chances to stores that I had left behind. About three weeks ago I went to Mandee and was pleasantly surprised, though the quality of all there garments and shoes aren't up to par some are actually nice and I got my airport and club looks from there. Another is Strawberry, I can't really remember ever buying anything from there but it was a store I stayed away from. The same friend brought me to Strawberry and their shoe selection is crazy!
