This is from a few weeks ago, it is so damn cold in New York that the thought of wearing a skirt makes me cringe. It went from 'ooo girl it's a little chilly out to damn it's cold!' in a weeks time. I don't like it one bit. I've lived here all my life and still can't get used to the cold. But there is light at the end of the tunnel, I'm going to California next month, yay! I'm so excited, really looking forward to warm weather even if it's for four days.

I woke up today and the title came to mind when I thought about the situation I'm in. I had a chance meeting with a guy last month and we've been getting to know each other ever since. Unfortunately he lives on the west coast and though there's talk of him moving to ny (all his idea and not for me but I may be incentive), I'm not sure how quickly that will happen. The distance makes it feel unreal. It's like we're pretending.

Here's a look from last week; I wore this to do what I do best: shop. I had a goal for this shopping trip though, to buy a kick ass poncho. I succeeded. Can't wait to post the poncho look.

Side note: thank sweet baby Jesus (that is the version of Jesus I choose to acknowledge) that it's Wednesday. I'm done with my internship for the week and only have a couple days of work left.
